As the government intensifies incentives for renewable energy—especially bioenergy—biomass power has become an increasingly important solution for industrial electricity cost reduction and supply stability.

With its strong coconut-based agriculture, the Philippines produces large volumes of coconut residues—such as coconut shells, coconut husks, coconut leaves, and coconut fronds and trunks—are high-potential biomass energy feedstocks, providing a strong foundation for the development of distributed clean power generation.
